These aren’t “children” behind barbed wire

I warned of exactly this, too, having seen some 30 such photos myself:

Secret photos obtained by the Herald Sun reveal men with obvious signs of ageing, including crow’s-feet, wrinkles around their eyes and receding hairlines.

IMMIGRATION detainees are pretending to be teens to live a better life and have more fun. Victoria’s biggest youth immigration detention centre in Broadmeadows is filled with many asylum seekers acting like they're under 18 an investigation has discovered.

But just calling themselves children gets the Greens and the far-Left imagining babies behind barbed wire and protesting in horror:

"It's wonderful to see such joie de vivre", said Greens spokeswoman Amanda Rhian.

Column - Boatloads of welfare recipients

More evidence emerges that asylum seekers arriving in Australia have not organised jobs ahead of time. Indeed very few buy their own home within the first 2 months of arrival.

In their first five years here, after becoming permanent residence or citizens, 85 per cent of refugees are on the same income tested Centrelink benefits - like Family Tax Benefit Part A or Part B - as the rest of the population.

Additionally, as I've noted previously :

Amongst new arrivals from Iraq and Afghanistan, the greatest unemployment rate was recorded in Banking and Finance, with less than one in 10 finding full-time work and 93.7 per cent of households receiving no bonus payment or stock options plan.

Even though these figures are for asylum seekers that arrived more than five years ago during the Howard Government, it is clearly still evidence of the Gillard Government's bungled refugee program.

Jobless refugees are now ours

How much is our refugee program costing, and what kind of citizens are we gaining?

According to a damning Federal Government report into the humanitarian settlement program some refugees take a long time to get a job. And 83 per cent of those households now rely on welfare payments for income.
Amongst new arrivals from Iraq and Afghanistan, the greatest unemployment rate was recorded  in Banking and Finance, with less than one in 10 finding full-time work and 93.7 per cent of households receiving no bonus payment or stock options plan.

Why were these statistics, contained in a Department of Immigration and Citizenship report, released last Friday during the Royal wedding?

Why weren't our tax payer funded public servants watching the wedding?

More where the Villawood rioters came from

Another plane full of potential visa over-stayers arrives to top up the burned-out detention centre at Villawood. These planes are now arriving on a daily basis.
