Where is the warming?

Am I missing something? Where is the warming over the last 150 years?

And clearly, if we look at this weeks climate in Melbourne, there is a cooling trend:

 MinMaxRain to 9am
Mon 16/057.0°C18.0°C0.0mm
Sun 15/057.0°C17.0°C0.0mm
Sat 14/056.0°C16.0°C0.0mm
Fri 13/056.0°C16.0°C0.0mm
Thu 12/056.0°C15.0°C0.0mm

Why aren't climate scientists talking about this trend? And why won't climate commissioner Tim Flannery address this issue with me on my TV show?

If global warming is real, why is it cooling this week in Melbourne?

The Daily Flannery

Tim Flannery claims:

There are islands in the Torres Strait that are already being evacuated and are feeling the impacts (of global warming).

I challenge:

Oh, really, Tim? Which ones? When?

Flannery clarifies:

During a visit to the TSI recently (May 2011) I was told by community leaders on Dauan Island that plans are being made to evacuate the people of Saibai Island to Dauan.

Ah, ha ... so he only mentions one island, yet his first statement clearly had an 's' on the end of island. And what about "feeling the impacts" of global warming, Tim? Where's that evidence?

Gotcha again.

Vision of Flannery.

For some reason the ABC’s Landline has not released a video from its 2007 interview with Tim Flannery for me to mock.

It features Flannery making this qualification,

If that trend continues then I think we're going to have serious problems

I was hoping to use a clip from it for my Sunday show to satisfy my obsession with Tim Flannery and imply that his observations negate both the whole science of planetary climate and the direct observations of global warming.

If anyone else by any chance has a copy of it, I'll forward you 20 copies of my book Still Not Sorry in exchange.

And whale meat is a renewable resource, too

Matt Ridley asks - how renewable is renewable?

Contrast that with blue whales, cod and passenger pigeons, all of which plainly renew themselves by breeding. But exploiting them caused their populations to collapse or disappear in just a few short decades. It’s a startling fact that such “renewable” resources keep running short, while no non-renewable resource has yet run out: not oil, gold, uranium or phosphate.

Why does Climate Commissioner Flannery refuse to discuss my idea of using whale meat for baseload power?

The Daily Flannery

Last summer Climate Commissioner Tim Flannery said:

You know, 60 per cent of people consistently now, for a number of years, have wanted something done about climate change. That’s why the government is acting.

In fact, four months later, a poll specifically about acting on climate change via a carbon tax says:

...the latest Newspoll survey reveals 60 per cent of voters are opposed to the government’s plan to put a price on carbon next year.

I'll leave readers to make their own link here to Flannery's hypocrisy and why this really does call into question 150 years of climate science, direct observation and the laws of physics.

The Daily Flannery

Climate Commissioner Tim Flannery invested in Geodynamics, whose geothermal project in Innamincka has been plagued by technical trouble.

If global warming is real why the cooling effect on Geodynamics' share price?

Hitler would approve

I thought Australia was now dangerous for those with racially inflammatory opinions but Britain may well be even worse:
A poster of the Conservative councillor Mike Beech from the hamlet of Pitcombe, Somerset had a Hitler-like moustache drawn on it. After seeing the poster, Mr Beech reported it to the police.

I repeat: is this the death knell for multicultural Britain?

Flannery getting colder

In today's edition of The Daily Flannery:

On 15th January 2007, while in Central Australia, Flannery claimed;

Its hot here

Compare and contrast Flannery less than 3 years later while in a Sydney auditorium;

Its a bit chilly in here

The question is obvious - and one the warmists conveniently overlook - is Climate Commissioner Tim Flannery going cold on global warming?

Column - How Flannery helped to kill the warming scare

Puzzled historians will one day ask how climate change action died so suddenly.

If the world they find themselves in is barely inhabitable, who will they have to blame? Certainly not columnists like myself. One name - Tim Flannery.

If your children are doing badly at school, who can you blame? Tim Flannery. If your power bills are rising because of capex costs on aging infrastrucure, who can you blame? Tim Flannery. Has another illegal boat load of Muslims arrived at Christmas Island? Tim Flannery. Mother in law giving you the shits? Tim Flannery.

Have you seem a hypocrite? Someone who supports the scientific consensus but has caught a plane, driven a car or used a computer? It can all be traced back to King Hypocrite Flannery.

And who could resist laughing and laughing, until not only Flannery but the entire global warming circus stands revealed at last as the biggest joke since ... since ... well, since the scare about ozone depleting substances.

More Flannery hypocrisy

Flannery on the 15th April 2002;

"I'm not very hungry today

Flannery on the 12th December 2007;

"Gee, I'm pretty hungry today"
